What is the Internet Adult Film Database aka. The IMDB For Porn?
IAFDB for short, as we mentioned above, is the ultimate place to find information about your favorite pornstars, studios and scenes.
That’s right, being a fan of handjob scenes ourselves, we discovered a ton of them just by looking at our favorite porn actress previous scenes.
IAFDB is American-porn orientated 🇺🇸
It’s no secret that Los Angeles is the porn-capital of the world, and the Internet Adult Film Database prides itself in being a premier source for American porn and the news and events around it. If you are wanting to discover more international or undiscovered porn stars then and not just USA pornstars, IAFDB may not be the right website for you.
Why would I want to use IAFDB instead of surf tube sites like Pornhub?
There could be several reasons why you may want to use the Internet Adult Film Database to discover new porn or actresses instead of simply going to Pornhub. But here are a few we can think of:
Avoid Distracting Algorithms
Tube sites want you on their platform as long as possible to keep serving you ads (hopefully you have Adblock enabled by now!) This dosen’t stop the recommended videos though, which can take you down a rabbit hole if you’re not careful. Often times its a ‘good hole’ 😉 but many times, you forget what you were searching for. IAFDB makes it really simple to discover new models without losing your train of thought.
Find out about adult industry events
Frequently covering opinion pieces, information and much more about events in the porn industry , IAFDB is perfect if you love websites like XBIZ who regularly do journalism about events happening right now in porn.
Features We Liked
See Which Pornstars Are Born, Today
Yep, that’s right – today! Do you share a birthday with your favorite xxx star?
Chances are you may have heard of some of the dozens of names in their ‘Those Born Today’ list. Not limited to female pornstars, this website dosen’t hold back showing you who is born today and how old they are.
If you hover over the link of their name, you’ll see their picture, what years they were active, and clicking on their name will take you to their pornstar profile.
Clear & Easy To Use Website Finding More Info About A Pornstar
Here’s a example of a performer Veronika J, a pornstar we didn’t know about until the website we’re reviewing recommended her to us.
Right away, you can clearly see her history in the business – stats, known-by names (sometimes pornstars mix the stage names they call themselves around), and a neat search filter you can use to find specific scenes much quicker than something like IMDB. It also lists their website (if they have one)
example of details about a performer on IAFDB. In this case, ‘Veronika J.’
Find The Exact Scenes You’re Looking For With Their ‘Filter’ Feature
Even further, clicking one of the checkboxes when inside the ‘Filter’ tab allows you to categorise without manual work EXACTLY the kind of scenes the performer has been in. By this we mean the specific ‘Niche’.
For example, on the same model’s page, clicking ‘Facial’ checkbox lists all the scenes for which she has took part in ‘Facials’ scenes in porn.
As the screenshot states – ‘web scenes’ are denoted by the color of YELLOW. For compilation clips, this is not the case.
Why is this useful? Well, as a porn enthusiast you know its really difficult to sift through literally 10s of millions of videos to try and find what kind of scenes you like. This is amplified when you regularly clear history or use incognito to hide your tracks.
The New Performers Page
Make discovering new porn quicker and faster by going to their New Performers page
Despite some actors not having a name entered in yet eg. ‘Unknown female’ or no photos available, we couldn’t find a similar feature on related websites such as IMDB.
Features We Didn’t Like
Their Glossary Could Use Some Expansion
In case you get confused about what all these different terms in porn mean (for seasoned porn viewers, you probably know them all …), you can check out the IAFD glossary here
We did feel that page could use with a little more expansion as there are some other sex fetishes or scene types that didn’t make the page.
There Isn’t Much Cam Models In Their Directory
That’s right – understandably, most models in their database are pornstars in explicit films distributed across pornographic studios like Brazzers.
Conclusion: IAFD – A Titan in Adult Entertainment News & Discovery
Lovers and veterans of the adult entertainment industry inside and out will love this website. Despite a few rooms for improvement such as the glossary or advertisements, we certainly recommend this website for your porn needs and wants!
